Mangdue Foot Trail

The Mangdue Foot Trail is a wonderful adventure hike for nature lovers to experience with its combination of natural beauty, cultural richness, and traditional Bhutanese village life. It provides an opportunity to explore a less-traveled part of Bhutan and gain a deeper appreciation of the country’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage. The trail leading to Trongsa Dzong will take 2 hours at leisurely paced through broadleaf forest vegetation. This trail will also lead you to the historic “Thoma drak” Cliff, before crossing the traditional cantilever bridge over the Mangdechu river. The final ascent from the bridge will lead you to a natural cascading snowline from where you can enjoy the scenery of the whole range of “Neypodrak” another cliff before entering the Western gate of magnificent and historic Trongsa Dzong.
