This 6-day itinerary offers an immersive journey through two of North India’s most captivating hill stations, Gangtok and Darjeeling. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim. As you travel through lush hills and charming villages, you’ll experience the serenity and beauty of the region. Once in Gangtok, unwind at your hotel and explore MG Mart, where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs, setting the tone for your tranquil stay.

On Day 2, you’ll embark on a sightseeing tour to discover the best of Gangtok’s attractions. Visit the Tashi Viewpoint, Bakthang Waterfalls, and the Enchey Monastery, and immerse yourself in the spiritual and natural beauty of the area. The journey continues as you head to Darjeeling on Day 4, with a picturesque drive through tea gardens and the beautiful hilly terrain. Once in Darjeeling, you’ll enjoy a relaxing day, exploring the town at your leisure. Day 5 starts with an early morning visit to Tiger Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga. The day continues with visits to iconic landmarks like the Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and the Peace Pagoda. A visit to the famous Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the Japanese Temple will complete your Darjeeling experience. On Day 6, you’ll head back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, cherishing the memories of your Himalayan adventure.

Day 1: Arrival and Drive to Gangtok (130 km/4 hours)

Upon your arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, you will be greeted by our agent who will assist with your transfer to Gangtok. The picturesque drive takes you through lush green hills and charming villages. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, step out for a leisurely stroll around MG Mart, where you can shop for souvenirs, authentic handlooms, and handicrafts. After a delightful evening, head back to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Gangtok

After a delicious breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Visit the Tashi Viewpoint for panoramic views of the city, followed by Bakthang Waterfalls and Ganesh Tok for scenic views. Visit the Enchey Monastery, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, and the vibrant Flower Show. Also, explore the Institute of Tibetology, which showcases Tibetan culture and history. Day 3: Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

Today, after breakfast, embark on a visit to Tsomgo Lake, situated at 12,400 feet, which is considered sacred by the locals. The serene lake offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Next, visit the Baba Harbhajan Mandir, dedicated to the legendary soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh, situated at 13,200 feet. If time permits and conditions allow, a trip to Nathula Pass, located on the Indo-China border, can also be arranged. After the tour, return to Gangtok in the afternoon, and enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 4: Drive from Gangtok to Darjeeling (110 km/4 hours)

After breakfast, check out from your Gangtok hotel and proceed to Darjeeling. The journey offers picturesque views of lush tea gardens and hilly terrain. Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check into your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the charming town at your own pace, enjoy local delicacies, or shop for souvenirs.

Day 5: Darjeeling Sightseeing Tour

Start your day early with a 4:00 AM visit to Tiger Hill, one of the highest points in Darjeeling, to witness the stunning sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. On your way back, stop at the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop, an engineering marvel offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day city tour, visiting attractions like Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Peace Pagoda, the Japanese Temple, and the Tenzing Rock. Lean Season: January, February, June, July, August, and December

The Cancellation before 30 days will lead to Zero cancellation of the total amount.
The cancellation after 30 days but before 15 days will lead to 25% cancellation of the total amount.
The cancellation after 15 days to 7 Days will lead to 50% cancellation of the total amount.
The cancellation 7 Days will lead to 100% cancellation of the total amount.
Since we are inter-dependent with the Hotels so above cancellation charges might vary with few Hotel’s Cancellation charges.

Refund Policy:

In case if eligible for any refund occurring due to cancellation or any other reasons, the same will be processed within 7-14 working/ business days in the mode deemed suitable or appropriate at the discretion of both the parties.

Postponement Policy: –

Postponement of the tour will be allowed once and will be Valid for 6 Months.
If the trip is postponed and not cancelled, there will not be any refund under any circumstances irrespective of any reason/cause after postponement of the trip.
This rescheduling is allowed only once, hence choose your new dates wisely and inform us at least 30 Days in advance from your new dates. Further, reschedules may or may not have some additional charges and that will be communicated in real-time. Execution of the rescheduled trip will depend upon the availability of all the inclusions as per the original itinerary. We advise you to discuss well in advance before making any flight or train booking.
The inclusions as per the original itinerary may or may not remain same, all depends upon the availability at the time of rescheduled dates.
The total package cost may or may not change at the time of rescheduled dates. The increase or decrease in the prices will depend upon the current prices of all the inclusions at the time of new booking.
Any force majeure situation, addition/amendment in the package may or may not attract additional charges, the additional charges shall be borne by the traveler.
Payment Schedule will be at AD Tours & Travels discretion and has the right to forfeit the payment for not receiving payment on time.
Change of Destination is not allowed under any circumstances. Still the final decision will be taken on the basis of situation.

Booking policy:

For booking this package, you need to provide verbal consent on the acceptance of the offered package including all the inclusions and exclusions as mentioned in the quote. Such acceptance will be received on the quote as a whole including each and every minute details as a part of it.
On the receipt of the same, the concerned trip advisor in contact with you will raise the invoice specifying the number of installments, installment amount and their due dates as agreed.
On the receipt of the 1st installment, the booking will stand confirmed untill and unless any changes are made thereafter.
The Visa/Permit, hotel and flight bookings will be thereafter initiated and the vouchers for the respective services will be updated for you within 3-4 working/ business days. Though the cab details will be updated 1-2 days piror before the trip.

Payment Policy:

The payment will be received as per the agreed number of installments, amount and due dates.
On non-receipt of the payment of the 1st installment as scheduled until and unless any prior notice, the booking remains unconfirmed. In such cases, no booking procedures will be initiated at our end.
Special Notice has to be put forth in a proper manner in case of any delays in making the payment of any installment so that a next due date can be planned for you.
