This 6-day tour offers an immersive experience into the beauty and tranquility of Kalimpong and Darjeeling, two of the most popular hill stations in Eastern India. The journey begins with your arrival at New Jalpaiguri Junction or Bagdogra Airport, where you’ll be transferred to Kalimpong. Here, you’ll enjoy the peaceful ambiance and picturesque surroundings, starting with a relaxing evening to explore the local markets or take a leisurely stroll through the charming town. The following day, a full-day sightseeing tour will introduce you to the natural beauty and cultural landmarks of Kalimpong, including stunning viewpoints, temples, and the unique Pine View Cactus Nursery.

On Day 3, you will travel to Darjeeling, a hill station famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Kanchenjunga and its rich colonial history. The scenic 3-hour drive will take you through lush tea estates and villages, setting the stage for your arrival in Darjeeling. After settling in, you can enjoy a leisurely day exploring the local markets and the iconic Darjeeling Mall. Day 4 begins with an early morning trip to Tiger Hill to witness the unforgettable sunrise over Kanchenjunga, followed by visits to some of Darjeeling’s most famous landmarks, including the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and the Japanese Temple.

The next day takes you off the beaten path, as you visit the serene and less-visited destinations of Tinchuley, Lamahatta, and Takdah. These charming locations are perfect for those seeking peace and solitude, surrounded by scenic trails and lush landscapes. Finally, on Day 6, you will bid farewell to the Himalayas as you travel back to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, taking with you unforgettable memories of your journey through Kalimpong and Darjeeling.

Day 1: Arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport – Transfer to Kalimpong

Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be warmly greeted by our representative, who will assist with your transfer to Kalimpong, a beautiful hill station nestled in the Eastern Himalayas. The drive from NJP to Kalimpong takes approximately 3 hours, covering a distance of 79 kilometers through scenic landscapes and winding roads. Upon reaching Kalimpong, check in to your pre-booked hotel and take some time to relax and refresh. In the evening, explore the local markets or take a leisurely walk around the town, soaking in the cool mountain air.

Day 2: Kalimpong Full-Day Sightseeing

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Kalimpong. Start with a visit to Dello Hill, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, mountains, and tea gardens. The area is also known for its adventure activities such as paragliding. Next, head to Hanuman Mandir, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, where you can enjoy both peace and panoramic views. Continue your exploration with a visit to Durpin View Point, which offers a spectacular view of the valley below. Also, visit Durpin Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery known for its peaceful ambiance and intricate architecture. Day 3: Kalimpong to Darjeeling Transfer

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Kalimpong and embark on a scenic drive to Darjeeling, a famous hill station located at an altitude of 7,100 feet. The 3-hour drive will take you through picturesque tea estates and hillside villages, offering a chance to admire the natural beauty of the region. Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check into your hotel and relax for the rest of the day. You may choose to explore Darjeeling Mall or the local markets, which offer a variety of souvenirs and handicrafts. The evening is free for leisure.

Day 4: Darjeeling Full-Day Sightseeing with Tiger Hill Visit

This morning, wake up early for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. At 4:00 AM, we will take you to Tiger Hill, one of the highest points in Darjeeling, for an unforgettable sunrise view over Mount Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. The sight of the snow-capped mountains bathed in the early morning light is truly magical. On your way back, visit the Ghoom Monastery, known for its historical significance and serene atmosphere, and stop by the Batasia Loop, a unique railway loop surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and a War Memorial. The cancellation before 30 days will lead to 50% of the total amount cancellation.
The cancellation after 30 days will lead to 100% of the Total amount cancellation.

Lean Season: January, February, June, July, August, and December

The Cancellation before 30 days will lead to Zero cancellation of the total amount.
The cancellation after 30 days but before 15 days will lead to 25% cancellation of the total amount.
The cancellation after 15 days to 7 Days will lead to 50% cancellation of the total amount.
The cancellation 7 Days will lead to 100% cancellation of the total amount.
Since we are inter-dependent with the Hotels so above cancellation charges might vary with few Hotel’s Cancellation charges.

Refund Policy:

In case if eligible for any refund occurring due to cancellation or any other reasons, the same will be processed within 7-14 working/ business days in the mode deemed suitable or appropriate at the discretion of both the parties.

Postponement Policy: –

Postponement of the tour will be allowed once and will be Valid for 6 Months.
If the trip is postponed and not cancelled, there will not be any refund under any circumstances irrespective of any reason/cause after postponement of the trip.
This rescheduling is allowed only once, hence choose your new dates wisely and inform us at least 30 Days in advance from your new dates. Further, reschedules may or may not have some additional charges and that will be communicated in real-time. Execution of the rescheduled trip will depend upon the availability of all the inclusions as per the original itinerary. We advise you to discuss well in advance before making any flight or train booking.
The inclusions as per the original itinerary may or may not remain same, all depends upon the availability at the time of rescheduled dates.
The total package cost may or may not change at the time of rescheduled dates. The increase or decrease in the prices will depend upon the current prices of all the inclusions at the time of new booking.
Any force majeure situation, addition/amendment in the package may or may not attract additional charges, the additional charges shall be borne by the traveler.
Payment Schedule will be at AD Tours & Travels discretion and has the right to forfeit the payment for not receiving payment on time.
Change of Destination is not allowed under any circumstances. Still the final decision will be taken on the basis of situation.

Booking policy:

For booking this package, you need to provide verbal consent on the acceptance of the offered package including all the inclusions and exclusions as mentioned in the quote. Such acceptance will be received on the quote as a whole including each and every minute details as a part of it.
On the receipt of the same, the concerned trip advisor in contact with you will raise the invoice specifying the number of installments, installment amount and their due dates as agreed.
On the receipt of the 1st installment, the booking will stand confirmed untill and unless any changes are made thereafter.
The Visa/Permit, hotel and flight bookings will be thereafter initiated and the vouchers for the respective services will be updated for you within 3-4 working/ business days. Though the cab details will be updated 1-2 days piror before the trip.

Payment Policy:

The payment will be received as per the agreed number of installments, amount and due dates.
On non-receipt of the payment of the 1st installment as scheduled until and unless any prior notice, the booking remains unconfirmed. In such cases, no booking procedures will be initiated at our end.
Special Notice has to be put forth in a proper manner in case of any delays in making the payment of any installment so that a next due date can be planned for you.
