Mahadev Dham

Mahadev Dham, located in Kalikhola within Lhamoi Dzingkha under Dagana district, holds profound spiritual significance for local Hindus. Situated near the Piping River, this calcium-rich cave is approximately an hour’s walk from the nearest road head at Titritar. The cave is revered as a sacred site dedicated to Lord Shiva, with stalactites and stalagmites within the cave resembling the symbolic forms of Shiva Linga and Yoni (vulva), according to local beliefs.

Annually, devotees from the surrounding communities gather at Mahadev Dham to perform religious rituals and offer prayers. It is a customary practice for locals to release doves as a symbolic gesture of peace and devotion during these rituals.
