Semji Village

This ancient village is approx. 7km from Trongsa and ideal for bird watching. Weather permitting, hiking through the dense forest provide ample opportunity to explore various species of birds and wildlife. The dynamic town may seem quite mainstream in appearance, but it overwhelms its guests by its simplicity and in the heritage of the Budhhist culture it has been nourishing. The attractions unfold a lot about the town’s basic character and historic philosophies.At Semji, one can visit the village and subsequently continue hiking downhill till the high way, where your transportation can shuttle you back to Trongsa town. The whole hiking trip takes approximately 4-5 hours.
